One deceased, one injured following shots fired

Surrey RCMP is assisting the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) following a shots fired incident in the Whalley/City Centre area of Surrey that has left one man deceased and one man injured.

On December 1, 2019, shortly before 11:00 pm, Surrey RCMP responded to the 13600-block of 114th Avenue after a report of shots fired was received. Upon police attendance, one adult male was found deceased and one injured male from apparent gunshot wounds. The injured man has been transported to the hospital is in serious condition.

IHIT has been engaged and are actively investigating the incident. The victims are known to police and this is believed to be a targeted incident.
